General description :
Reporting to the day foreman for people working day shifts and to the evening foreman for operators working evening and night shifts, the press injection operator manufactures molded plastic parts and/or assembles simple components, in accordance with the quality standards and the needs defined in the monitoring plan.
Description spécifique :
– At the beginning of the shift, reads the work documents and transfers the information to the operator already on duty
– Is expected to operate 5 different types of injection molding presses
– Operates one or more presses and performs the auxiliary operations required according to the monitoring plan
– Ensures that the quantity and the quality of the products comply with the various production and quality control documents and completes such documents by carrying out the required quality checks
– Cleans his/her workspace and respects the occupational health and safety instructions to eliminate any hazards
–At the end of his/her shift, reports production details to the next operator and enters the production data in the computer system
– Actively participates in various improvement projects and other special projects
– Performs all other related tasks requested by his/her immediate supervisor

Skills and knowledge required:
– High school diploma or equivalent is an asset but not mandatory
– Between 6 and 12 months of relevant work experience
