ABOUT PLASTIQUES GAGNON

1948: The beginning of the handcrafted production of plastic and plaster parts.

1958: Jospartners with his son Jean-Marie and founds Jos Gagnon & Fils in the family garage. They manufacture plastic letters for schools and start manufacturing promotional items.

1965: The Company industrializes its operations with the acquisition of numerous clients in the snowmobile sector, such as Boa Ski, Moto-Ski, Snow-Prince, and Snow-Jet.

1968: The building of the original plant, which will be expanded later.

1971–1980: The addition of two new divisions—plastic printing and mold manufacturing.

1980: The beginning of the production of event and promotional figurines.

1984: The first plant expansion.

1988: The company sells its mold manufacturing division, which becomes Pro-Moules.

1989: The third generation takes over. A great team—made up of François, Jean, and theirsister Monica—buys out the family business.

1990: In response to growing competition from Asia, the company sells its figurine printing division to Reproduction RC.

1992: The company sells the Promo Plastik division to a group formed by a few employees and focuses on industrial subcontracting.

1992: The second plant expansion, providing an additional 14,000 sq. ft.

1994: The launch of a new plant in Lawrenceville dedicated to the production of parts for BRP.

1996: The company obtains the ISO 9001 quality standard.

2000: TheLawrenceville plant is sold to IPL to bring the production capacity of itspresses in the range between 20 and 500 tons.

2019: The beginning of a major plant expansion to increase the plant’s surface area by 25%.
